Foundation margin, allocated to the provision
0%
no margin yet: month 1, the outstanding requirement is not covered, the need is at full need and the full multiplier applies · the margin builds when the Foundation need goes below 100% (partly need) and feeds the foundation provision[2]
Foundation provision
CHF 0
0 of the 3 months provision target (3 × CHF 10'000/month) · builds up once the outstanding requirement is covered · funds maintenance and development · not a reward · the provision drives the Foundation need[6]
Foundation need mechanism
fully automatic · needs defined by the steering committee
Bonding curve
starts at ×100, ends at ×30 and distributes 50 million rewards according to a mathematical formula · the ×30 floor comes from this curve (subject to validation)[1]
Monthly functioning cost
CHF 10'000/month · the functioning variable, set at launch, adjustable · shown inside the need gauge above
Outstanding requirement
CHF 35'750 today · not yet covered · initial requirement CHF 100'000, minus CHF 64'250 already donated (sample, month 1)
full need: 100% (month 1) · the need stays at full need as long as the outstanding requirement is not covered: the initial requirement starts at CHF 100'000, so the need stays at full for a long time, and the pace of donations is what brings it down · below 100% it is called partly need · once the requirement is covered, the need descends as the provision fills, down to the ×30 floor at 3 months of provision · proposed formula, to be validated
Effective multiplier
today: ×100 × full need 100% = ×100 · never below ×30
Split of incoming money
half to the monthly functioning costs · half to the initial requirement

Figure 1 · How the Foundation need works: effective multiplier vs foundation provision[7]
Proposed formula, to be validated: Foundation need = 100% - 70% × (months of provision covered ÷ 3), effective multiplier = bonding curve multiplier × Foundation need. The descent only starts once the outstanding requirement is covered. The initial requirement starts at CHF 100'000 and grows by CHF 10'000 each month, so the need stays at full for a long time; the pace of donations is what brings it down. At 3 months of provision the Foundation need is 30% and the multiplier is at the ×30 floor, never below. The provision is the last figure of the system: it drives the Foundation need.
The need is at full need (100%): your donation today gets the full ×100 multiplier of the bonding curve. The initial requirement starts at CHF 100'000, so the need stays at full for a long time; the pace of donations is what brings it down. Later, once the requirement is covered and the provision builds, the Foundation need descends (partly need) and the effective multiplier follows (see the examples below). When you donate, everything is visible at once: multiplier, Foundation need, effective multiplier, your potential reward, and the margin allocated to the foundation provision (to be confirmed). The reward is a potential ceiling, paid only from real subscription income, with no guarantee.
When you donate: your reward appears, then your choice (sample)[8]
Sample donation of CHF 1'000 at ×100: your potential reward of CHF 100'000 appears, then the question: "What percentage do you want to give to the foundation?" Free choice from 0% to 100% (0% is allowed).
Preset "cashback"
×1: you get back just the amount you donated (CHF 1'000), the rest goes to the foundation
Preset "full donation"
100% to the foundation, you keep CHF 0
Free choice
any percentage from 0% to 100%, e.g. 25% to the foundation: CHF 25'000 to the foundation, CHF 75'000 kept as potential reward
Later in the round: sample CHF 1'000 donations at lower levels of the Foundation need

The initial requirement starts at CHF 100'000, so the need stays at full for a long time. These examples show later stages, once the outstanding requirement is covered and the provision fills.

Bonding curve: fixed algorithm. It starts at ×100, ends at ×30 and distributes 50 million rewards according to a mathematical formula (sample description, subject to validation). The ×30 floor comes from this curve.
Foundation margin: when the Foundation need is below 100%, the difference between what the bonding curve promises and the reward actually attributed stays with the foundation and is allocated to the foundation provision. This margin grows over time.
Simulator amounts are sample data. The reward is a potential ceiling, never a guaranteed payment.
A reward is never activated automatically on Stripe reception. It is activated by the Ynternet.org Foundation after the holding period.
Illustrative split: CHF 1.00 of each CHF 10/year subscription feeds reward holders (exact share to be confirmed).
Foundation provision: the total sum attributed to the foundation as a provision, not as rewards, to fund the maintenance and development of WikiDeal.
Foundation need: the second curve of the system, shown as the gauge. Effective multiplier = multiplier × Foundation need. At 100% it is called full need, below 100% partly need. The need stays at full need as long as the outstanding requirement is not covered: outstanding requirement = CHF 100'000 (initial requirement) + CHF 10'000 × (months - 1) - cumulative donations, never shown below CHF 0. The functioning variable (CHF 10'000/month) is set at launch and adjustable. Once the requirement is covered, the Foundation need descends fast below 100% (for example ×90 then ×80 for money nominally at ×100) as the foundation provision fills. When the provision reaches 3 months of functioning cost, the Foundation need is 30% and the multiplier is at the ×30 floor. Proposed formula, to be validated: Foundation need = 100% - 70% × (months of provision covered ÷ 3), effective multiplier = bonding curve multiplier × Foundation need, never below ×30. Half of the incoming money goes to the monthly functioning costs, half to the initial requirement. All values are sample data.
When you donate, your potential reward appears first, then you choose what percentage of it you give to the foundation, from 0% to 100% (0% is allowed). Two presets: "cashback" (you keep just the amount you donated, ×1) and "full donation" (100% to the foundation). Sample data.
