Foundation margin, allocated to the provision
0%
no margin yet: at launch the Foundation need stays at 100%, so the full multiplier applies · the margin builds when the Foundation need goes below 100% and feeds the foundation provision[2]
Foundation provision
CHF 0
0 of the 3 months provision target (3 × CHF 10'000/month) · builds up once the monthly need is covered · funds maintenance and development · not a Cash Reward · the provision drives the Foundation need[6]
Foundation need mechanismfully automatic · needs defined by the steering committee
Bonding curvestarts at ×100, ends at ×30 and distributes 50 million rewards according to a mathematical formula · the ×30 floor comes from this curve (subject to validation)[1]
Monthly functioning costCHF 10'000/month (model example) · this month: not yet covered
Foundation provisionCHF 0 = 0 of the 3 months target (3 × CHF 10'000)
Foundation need[7]Foundation need: 100% (early phase) · at launch, the Foundation need stays at 100% for a long time: the money is missing and the multiplier is full · later, once the monthly need is filled, the Foundation need descends as the provision fills, down to the ×30 floor at 3 months of provision · proposed formula, to be validated
Effective multipliertoday: ×100 × Foundation need 100% = ×100 · never below ×30

Figure 1 · How the Foundation need works: effective multiplier vs foundation provision[7]
at launch, the Foundation need stays at 100% for a long time ×100 ×80 ×60 ×30 floor ×30 · Foundation need: 30% at 3 months of provision sample position: launch phase → Foundation need 100% → ×100 0 1 2 3 months of functioning cost held in provision (target: 3 months × CHF 10'000)
Proposed formula, to be validated: Foundation need = 100% - 70% × (months of provision covered ÷ 3), effective multiplier = bonding curve multiplier × Foundation need. At 0 months of provision the Foundation need is 100% (the money is missing, the multiplier is full); at 3 months it is 30% and the multiplier is at the ×30 floor. At launch, the Foundation need stays at 100% for a long time. The effective multiplier never goes below ×30. The provision is the last figure of the system: it drives the Foundation need.

At launch, the Foundation need stays at 100% for a long time: your donation today gets the full ×100 multiplier of the bonding curve. Later, once the monthly need is filled and the provision builds, the Foundation need descends and the effective multiplier follows (see the examples below). When you donate, everything is visible at once: multiplier, Foundation need, effective multiplier, your potential Cash Reward, and the margin allocated to the foundation provision (to be confirmed). The Cash Reward is a potential ceiling, paid only from real subscription income, with no guarantee.

When you donate: your reward appears, then your choice (sample)[8]
Sample donation of CHF 1'000 at ×100: your potential Cash Reward of CHF 100'000 appears, then the question: "What percentage do you want to give to the foundation?" Free choice from 0% to 100% (0% is allowed).
Preset "cashback"×1: you get back just the amount you donated (CHF 1'000), the rest goes to the foundation
Preset "full donation"100% to the foundation, you keep CHF 0
Free choiceany percentage from 0% to 100%, e.g. 25% to the foundation: CHF 25'000 to the foundation, CHF 75'000 kept as potential Cash Reward
Later in the round: sample CHF 1'000 donations at lower levels of the Foundation need

Foundation need: 80%×80CHF 80'000
Foundation need: 60%×60CHF 60'000
Foundation need: 30%×30 (floor)CHF 30'000

At launch, the Foundation need stays at 100% for a long time. These examples show later stages, once the monthly need is covered and the provision fills.

4. How payments flow

[You] --credit card--> [Stripe] --confirmed--> [Ynternet.org Foundation account] | holding period (illustrative: 7 days) v [Ynternet.org Foundation confirms the payment] | v [Your Cash Reward is ACTIVATED] then becomes progressively "transferable to your bank account" as subscription income arrives
  1. Bonding curve: fixed algorithm. It starts at ×100, ends at ×30 and distributes 50 million rewards according to a mathematical formula (sample description, subject to validation). The ×30 floor comes from this curve.
  2. Foundation margin: when the Foundation need is below 100%, the difference between what the bonding curve promises and the reward actually attributed stays with the foundation and is allocated to the foundation provision. This margin grows over time.
  3. Simulator amounts are sample data. The Cash Reward is a potential ceiling, never a guaranteed payment.
  4. A Cash Reward is never activated automatically on Stripe reception. It is activated by the Ynternet.org Foundation after the holding period.
  5. Illustrative split: CHF 1.00 of each CHF 10/year subscription feeds Cash Reward holders (exact share to be confirmed).
  6. Foundation provision: the total sum attributed to the foundation as a provision, not as Cash Rewards, to fund the maintenance and development of WikiDeal.
  7. Foundation need: the second curve of the system. Effective multiplier = multiplier × Foundation need. As long as the monthly need (functioning cost, model example CHF 10'000/month) is not filled, the Foundation need is 100%: the money is missing and the multiplier is full. At launch, the Foundation need stays at 100% for a long time. Once the monthly need is filled, the Foundation need descends fast below 100% (for example ×90 then ×80 for money nominally at ×100) as the foundation provision fills. When the provision reaches 3 months of functioning cost, the Foundation need is 30% and the multiplier is at the ×30 floor. Proposed formula, to be validated: Foundation need = 100% - 70% × (months of provision covered ÷ 3), effective multiplier = bonding curve multiplier × Foundation need, never below ×30. Half of the incoming money goes to functioning costs, half to the reimbursement of costs already incurred. All values are sample data.
  8. When you donate, your potential Cash Reward appears first, then you choose what percentage of it you give to the foundation, from 0% to 100% (0% is allowed). Two presets: "cashback" (you keep just the amount you donated, ×1) and "full donation" (100% to the foundation). Sample data.
