Open Call (draft): Annual percentage increase on rewards

A planned Open Call to collect proposals and analyses on whether an annual percentage increase on rewards should be implemented, and if so, how.

Context: rewards are potential ceilings

WikiDeal rewards are potential ceilings, paid only from real subscription income, and never guaranteed. They are not financial products. The amount transferable to a bank account (cash transfer) grows only as subscription income accumulates.

The idea under consideration

An idea under consideration: an annual percentage increase applied to rewards, to give them value over time.

Why it matters more over time

As funding rounds progress, the bonding curve multiplier decreases. Indicative sample trajectory (sample data, to be confirmed):

The lower the multiplier, the more relevant an annual percentage increase on rewards becomes. For example, a ×1.1 multiplier is only a 10% potential gain, which may be little over 10 years. An annual percentage increase would compensate for this reduction over time.

What this Open Call will collect

This Open Call will collect proposals and scientific and economic analyses on the positive and negative impacts of an annual percentage increase on rewards.

The exact percentage is NOT decided. Any previously mentioned figure such as 5% was only an illustration and is withdrawn. This Open Call is specifically about studying the question openly before any decision is made.

Decision process

The decision will be taken later through the Open Call process. Nothing here is a promise. Participation in this Open Call does not create any right or expectation.

Status: draft — not yet launched. Deadline: to be defined at launch. Launched via: Open Calls list.
