Addendum — Night Shift Conditions for Overnight Babysitting

This Addendum supplements and is incorporated into the Babysitting Services Agreement (Contract 1). It governs any session that includes overnight babysitting — defined as any service where the Provider remains at the Recipient's home between the hours of 22:00 and 07:00.

§1 — Overnight Rate: Sessions or portions of sessions occurring between 22:00 and 07:00 are charged at a night rate of CHF 25/hr (or as agreed in the platform booking), irrespective of the daytime rate. The night rate applies automatically once the session clock passes 22:00.

§2 — Sleeping Arrangements: The Recipient shall provide the Provider with: a private room or dedicated sleeping area with a door; clean bedding; access to a bathroom; and access to kitchen facilities for personal use. Inadequate or unsafe sleeping conditions constitute grounds for immediate termination of the overnight session with full payment retained by the Provider.

§3 — Emergency Protocol: If any child wakes distressed, becomes ill, or an emergency arises at night, the Provider shall attempt to contact the Recipient immediately by phone. If the Recipient cannot be reached within 15 minutes in a medical emergency, the Provider is authorised to call emergency services (144/112) and then the Recipient's designated emergency contact. All night emergency communications are to be logged via the platform.

§4 — Provider Rest: The Provider is entitled to sleep during the night period when children are asleep. The Provider shall ensure children are settled before resting and shall be roused by any alarm system or smoke detector. The Recipient shall not hold the Provider responsible for normal sounds that occur during the Provider's reasonable rest periods.

§5 — Morning Handover: The overnight session ends at the time specified in the booking or by mutual agreement on the morning. The Provider shall provide a brief verbal handover summary of the night (any wake-ups, concerns, incidents) before leaving.
